Our athletes did us proud this winter, bringing home 25 medals from the Sochi 2014 Games. Celebrate their tremendous success by taking part in the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame & Induction Ceremony Auction.
The Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame Gala Dinner will serve as the official ‘Welcome Home’ celebration for the 2014 Canadian Olympic Team. Hosted by the City of Calgary at the Saddledome on June 6, this elite event will feature world-class entertainment and conclude several days of community outreach and public appearances across Alberta and Ontario.
By bidding on a unique piece of Olympic history or one of these once in a lifetime Olympic experiences, you’ll be supporting the Canadian Olympic Foundation.
Established in 2007, the Canadian Olympic Foundation gives to priority partners that drive high performance athletic achievement for Canada’s Olympic podium potentials and for our next generation of Olympic athletes. The Foundation also funds athlete, coaching, and sport awards and scholarships.
Canada’s Olympic athletes bring our country’s values of excellence, fairness, human development, leadership and peace to life. Few sights inspire national pride and unite the country as powerfully as the Canadian flag flying above all others on the Olympic podium.
This country is cheering louder than ever. We now expect our athletes to win.
Pursuing excellence in sport requires long-term vision and funding. Canada must support athletes five to twelve years from the podium to achieve results at the Tokyo 2020 Games, 2022 Games and beyond.
Funds raised from this online auction and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame Gala Dinner will be used to identify and support emerging Canadian athletes. A portion of these funds will remain in Alberta to support athletic facilities and a coaching legacy program in Calgary.
