Generously donated anonymously. "Snow Jam" is a limited edition print by Canadian artist and physician William J. Hobbs, nicknamed "Canada's Master Painter of Railways". The scene is of a railway station in winter from the CPR Yards in Killarney, Manitoba. Signed and numbered 103/150. There is no date. The painting is fully mounted in a wood frame and glass and measures approximately 25 1/2" x 30 1/2".

"When I stepped off the train in 1959, I had never seen open spaces like the prairies where trains define the landscape. The light forced me to paint. I had to capture it. I had to preserve it. You have to live here 20 years to understand it. I only know that after nearly 50 years on the prairies. I have almost captured the storms, the light, the skies, and the snow. Trains and painting are my life. I must paint all the stations west of the Hudson Bay or the history will be lost. I must save the history of this wonderful place"

- William Hobbs, 1927-2012.
