Marianne Broome was born in England and spent much of her childhood in Malaysia where the stunning scenery and abundance of exotic animals and plants heightened her love of nature and keen interest in drawing. She lives in the beautiful countryside near Toronto, Ontario. Broome continues to travel extensively and is never without her sketchbook or camera. She considers painting as a way to celebrate the beauty of nature and a contribution to a greater environmental consciousness.
