Have a new puppy? Not sure how to lay down a good obedience foundation? Or maybe you have an older puppy who has entered his/her ‘selective hearing’ stage and you’d like some advice about how to refocus them? Sandra Cramer, Puppy Training Supervisor with Alberta Guide Dogs, is happy to try to help! Sandra is a CCPDT Certified trainer with 7 years of experience training service dog puppies. This package is perfect for puppies 2 – 18 months of age.

Sandra specializes in training dogs who are nice to live with and have good house manners. She is fabulous at breaking down training goals into a step by step process and helping train the person on how to go through this process with a puppy. She can provide support with: basic manners, house training, loose leash walking, recall, polite greetings, reactivity, basic obedience, most common trainer mistakes, impulse control, food refusal and doorbell behaviour. She will NOT address any issues with aggression or the need for serious behavior modification.

You’ll start with a phone consultation to discuss what you’d like your training sessions to achieve (ie: specific goals or outcomes desired) and to ensure these goals are reasonable and achievable. This will be followed by 2 x 2 hour sessions one-on-one with Sandra. She will also provide a training guide of exercises to work on with your dog to strengthen the bond between handler and dog as well as creating desired behaviours of a well-trained dog.
