Included in this package is a cut-resistant glove & fillet knife designed by Andre' & Qua-Fung Eng.  Using Swedish stainless steel, the 8” Black Tusk Barracuda Fillet Knife was made to be different from most! The majority of fillet knives in the marketplace use 420 steel, great for corrosion resistance but less so for taking or holding an edge. The Barracuda blade, however, is made from a Swedish Sandvik stainless steel—14C28N—formulated specifically for the cutlery industry. Offering superior edge retention while still being corrosion resistant, the blade also features a dark grey titanium coating. It’s the perfect tool for most of our local fish like trout and salmon but is more than capable of tackling larger fish such as halibut. 

The blue and black G10 handle allows for ultimate grip and durability and even has a convenient bottle cap opener—the perfect companion for those hot summer days!  This fillet knife comes with a nylon sheath for safety and ease of transport.

Ian is a lifelong outdoors enthusiast and fly-fisherman and has been fishing the Squamish river and British Columbia waters for over 2 decades. his enthusiasm for people and fishing makes him among the best of the best.

He is a great teacher of West Coast Spey casting techniques for Steelhead and Salmon and he helps us out on our large groups and family bookings as often as possible, he is great with kids and there is no other place Ian would rather be than out on the glacier fed Squamish river.  When he is not guiding for us you can often find him on the water seeking the perfect Spey cast or teaching his son everything he knows about the Squamish river.
