Equine Tsunami print of original artwork image 18" x 24".
Seventeen years ago, Calgary opened the Stampede with the Trail 2000, taking it back to the roots of the wild west. Organizers brought approximately 2000 horses from a ranch in Hanna, herding them 220 km to the Stampede Grounds. The signature moment was when the herd crossed the Red Deer River. Struck by this image, local artist Paul Van Ginkel captured this moment on canvas, creating Equine Tsunami.
