mud URBAN POTTERS is a community for learning about ceramics. Our converted industrial warehouse south of Inglewood is bright and inviting, with spacious areas for teaching and practice.

EXPERIENCE OPTIONAL

From absolute beginners to familiar practitioners, you can bring whatever experience with clay that you have to mud.

Our expert instructors will help you dive in! With over 30 combined years of professional instruction between our dedicated team of teachers, we can support your pottery practice where you are at.

COME PREPARED

Mud is in fact a muddy experience. While clay does wash out, it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and footwear. Aprons or overalls are provided.

Feel free to bring snacks and beverages. We ask that you follow face-mask and social distancing guidelines when eating and drinking in the studio. Food and drinks are not to be consumed in the glazing area.

SET UP AND TAKE DOWN

Clay and sanitized personal tools are supplied during lessons. After getting oriented to mud you can continue practicing as a Drop-In member.

This 1.5 hour lesson will focus on the basics of wheel throwing. You will be able to pick up your unique creations approximately 3 weeks later.
