Acrylic on Masonite painting 'Apples' by Lily Schreyer ( 15 x 17 inches) was donated to the Medicine Hat affiliate. Proceeds from the auctioning of this painting will go directly to the Medicine Hat Chapter. The artist, Lily Schreyer, is a former Vice-regal consort of Canada. She was made a companion of the Order of Canada in 1979.Lily is wife of former Manitoba Premier and Governor General of Canada Ed Schreyer. Lily began painting as a child and as a result of her interest in arts and crafts she works tirelessly to raise the visibility of Canadian artists. She has been very generous in donating the proceeds of the sale of her artworks to various charities.

The painting has been appraised, the Estimated fair market value is $1250 and the condition is rated as excellent.
