Alberta artist and educator, Gregg Johnson is a watercolor artist known for his dramatic colors and eclectic compositions of the prairie, mountain and coastal themes. Gregg has long been a strong supporter of the visual arts in the Edmonton region. A graduate of the University of Alberta with degrees in English and Art Education, Johnson has been an art teacher with the Edmonton Public School Board and a practicing artist for more than a quarter of a century. For many years Gregg ran the highly successful Jasper Watercolor Workshops in Jasper, Alberta. His love of hiking and backpacking regularly takes him into the high country to photograph and paint the many moods and grandeur of the mountains. The winner of this lot will receive a signed original painting "Pines at Horseshoe Lake, Jasper" measuring approximately 20" x 32".
