Schloss Schönborn Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg 2005 Riesling Auslese Double Magnum (3L). Schloss Schönborn is the oldest wine estate in Germany, and one of the oldest in the world. It dates back to 1349, and has been family owned for 27 generations.
The estate owns 125 acres throughout the Rheingau, including prestigious plots of Erbacher Marcobrun, Winkeler Jesuietengarten, and Rüdesheimer Berg Schlossberg. The mountain of Rüdesheim has the most perfect aspect of all Rheingau vineyards. 2005 is extraordinary vintage in Germany, with many Spätlese and Auslese level wines capable of lasting several decades.
