Trapped as part of ASNTF’s spay/neuter clinic on Maskwacis  Reserve, these mature ferals managed to survive by staying together but years of poor nutrition and braving the elements took their toll. We were asked if we’d consider taking these two dogs, knowing it was unlikely they could ever be adopted but also knowing their chances of surviving if released were slim.  Now 3 years later, Nixon will allow fleeting touch but Noah remains aloof and anti-social to humans. They have good food, warm shelter and each other. Sometimes you take on animals for what you can do for them and it’s our honor to care for Noah & Nixon until the end of their natural lives.
