Have an intense personal experience by joining the Downtown Outreach Additions Partnership outreach workers for a ride-a-long. The DOAP Team is a program of the Calgary Alpha House Society, which works in the community assisting homeless peoples with addiction and complex social issues. Spend 4 hours on a shift with the DOAP team as they help vulnerable individuals through the city. *Learn about the issues of homelessness in Calgary *Get a firsthand experience with the team as they work the streets of the downtown core *Learn about addicitions and harm reduction approaches Included is a tour of Alpha House shelter and detox.
