I got the idea for this painting from and old picture I had in my phone. I have also always wanted to try creating textured flowers, and this was the perfect opportunity for me to get to try them. My painting mainly has flowers, and they symbolize happiness, because when I look at flowers they make me feel happy. The squares on my painting really don’t have much meaning, but they are there to bring more balance into the composition. I thought it would be good to make them a darker version of the background color so that they really stand out. In this painting I used acrylic paint, some bubble wrap, molding paste, and some gloss medium. During this project I learned that sometimes you have to take risks when painting, and even when you’re scared you should just go for it and it can turn out really well.
