This oil painting is by Mrs. Lily Schreyer, a former viceregal consort of Canada, as the wife of former Manitoba premier and Governor-General Ed Schreyer.  The painting dimensions are 24” wide by 30” tall.
Mrs. Schreyer began painting as a child. In addition to her support of Habitat for Humanity, and as a result of her long-time interest in arts and crafts, she works tirelessly to raise the visibility and accomplishments of Canadian crafts artists. She has been very generous in donating to charity the proceeds from the sale of her own paintings.

The Schreyers have championed the Habitat for Humanity cause since 1993, when they joined with Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter to build houses for Habitat as part of the Jimmy Carter Work Project. The Schreyers continue to graciously donate their time to build with Habitat affiliates and to increase the profile of Habitat for Humanity.
