Mountain View by Arlene Westen Evans
Miniature Artwork made with Acrylic Paint on Pastel Paper
- Item is Closed
This torn paper collage is an original piece of art. Paper marbling is a method of surface design obtained by floating paint on the surface of water and carefully transferring the designs onto a sheet of paper. This technique of decorating paper has been used by people in many parts of the world over several centuries to create beautiful end sheets for books, used as a writing surface for calligraphy, and to mark currency as a way of preventing forgery. No two images are ever alike.
Arlene Westen Evans is a well-known mixed-media art instructor and a multi-disciplinary artist who specializes in surface design on fabric and papers. She holds baccalaureate degrees from the Alberta College of Art and Design and the University of Lethbridge. Arlene’s work is in several public and private collections worldwide.
Mountain View is professionally framed with conservation glass.
