This year Alberta Bike Swap is taking the circular economy theme to a new level. The previously loved and practical Electra Townie 7d was purchased from Two Wheel View. We have selected a well known and respected brand name bike that has many miles of life left and has been equipped to be ride ready. Bow Cycle and ProHAB and some of the bike community have helped us with the accessory package of grips, helmet, rack, basket, lights and lock. Extra special thanks to ProHAB helmet society for the brand-new helmet and Bow Cycle for the Townie rack and really good lock. Besides the bike, we’ve thrown in an Alberta Bike Swap bell, t-shirt and a Commuter Cycling Skills course for the rider.

The Electra Townie 7d offered this year has the signature features of the Townie series – lightweight aluminum frame, 26” wheels with big, smooth rolling tires and ‘flat foot’ technology that allows you to stand over the bike without bashing your shins on the pedals. The 7 speed Shimano drivetrain is gripshift controlled with an extra low first gear for hill climbing. Stopping power comes from powerful front and rear v-brakes. Bikes are like tools and you need the right one for the job. Make this bike your grocery getter, pathway explorer, and beautiful cruiser!
