Elisa is a collaborative violinist and violin teacher from Calgary. She is a member of the Red Deer Symphony and the Lily String Quartet. She enjoys playing regularly with the Calgary Philharmonic. Elisa has a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a Masters of Music degree from Kent State University. She has studied with members of the Calgary Philharmonic, the Atlanta Symphony, the concertmasters of the Royal Swedish Opera and the Cleveland Orchestra, and with members of the Miami String Quartet. She has played with many orchestras throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Alberta and B.C. and more recently with the Edmonton Symphony, Red Deer Symphony and Calgary Philharmonic.

Elisa has taught violin for twenty years and has taught violin remotely for over a decade using video conferencing technology. Elisa also keeps busy raising her three young boisterous and active children who also are learning to play the violin. Elisa believes in helping her students foster a love for music as well as developing a wholistic understanding of music including internalizing rhythm and pitch through movement, singing, clapping, listening and playing together. She enjoys developing relationships with her students as they discover and enjoy the benefits of long term musical development and collaboration.
