The Beast’s Hockey Club is hosting the 1st Annual Charity Cabaret on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Strathcona Community Centre with live music, local food and a silent auction – a good old fashioned “Sasky Cabaret”!  This is a fundraising event with proceeds from the auction supporting Severe Aplastic Anemia through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation – the Bode Fox family charity of choice.

Bode Fox, a Trails West Wolves hockey player since Learn to Skate, has been diagnosed with a rare condition called Severe Aplastic Anemia. Since his diagnosis, young Bode has undergone 59 platelet transfusions and 20 blood transfusions, compromising his immune system and making it impossible for him to participate in life the same way. An update was recently provided to friends and family, and thanks to an anonymous donor – whom the family calls their Angel, Bode has been provided with a healthy dose of Stem Cells. Bode is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in order to prepare his body to receive an allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant.
