In 2002, The Champions of Hope organizers planned the first ever Charity Sno-Pitch Tournament in support of The CJAY 92 Kids Fund. At the time, few people thought, one-weekend of sno-pitch in the snow and freezing cold weather would raise much cash, but they were dead wrong - the generosity of the CJAY 92 listeners, participants and local businesses was overwhelming. In the past we have hosted 40 sno-pitch teams with 500 plus people involved yearly – a guaranteed sell out every single year.  Over the past nineteen years, we have proudly raised over $890,000 to help families in need at Christmas and throughout the year.

100% of Sno-Pitch proceeds have been donated to The CJAY 92 Kids Fund. The CJAY 92 Kid's Fund was created in 2000 with a mandate to assist less fortunate families and their children in and around the Calgary area. It has been used to help build a wheelchair-accessible park in Silver Springs, to replace stolen bicycles, and for Gerry Forbes Secret Wish which occurred every Friday morning. The families we assist always have children and are often facing bleak circumstances due to illness, disability or hardship. This event has become a favourite with our listeners, CJAY 92 DJ’s and staff and members of the entire community.

Unfortunately, like many other fundraising events, we will not be able to go ahead with our Sno-Pitch Tournament and in-person auction. INSTEAD, we will be putting on an online Poker Tournament on December 11, 2021 and this online auction!

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit all of us hard, which means there are more families around Calgary that really need help financially. Bid away and help us make our online auction a SUCCESS!

100% of the money supports the CJAY 92 Kids Fund.

Thanks for your support! Calgary would suck without you!
