From 1986-2002, Dr. Darren Lund was a trailblazing and esteemed English teacher at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in Red Deer, Alberta. As a first-year teacher, "Mr. Lund" founded the groundbreaking Students and Teachers Opposing Prejudice (STOP) program, contributing to countless achievements such as Darren's inaugural Alberta Human Rights Award and the creation of Alberta's first-ever Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) several years later.
During this time, Darren also collected and displayed hundreds of posters of blockbuster movies and contemporary bands in his cutting-edge classroom, which past students and colleagues still fondly remember to this day.
We are auctioning some of Darren's memorable posters to raise money for two organizations that he wished to continue to support as part of his legacy.
100% of proceeds will be equally donated to The Prostate Cancer Centre's Clinic for Advanced and Metastatic Prostate Cancer (CAMP) and The Calgary Police Youth Foundation.
You may also select "DONATE NOW" if you'd like to donate without purchasing a poster.
Thank you for supporting causes that were close to Darren's heart.
