The Calgary Hitmen are proud to partner with Siksika Health Services on the fourth annual Every Child Matters game. The Calgary Hitmen will wear their ‘Every Child Matters’ jerseys on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 vs the Moose Jaw Warriors. Portions of the jersey auction proceeds will support recovery efforts for Siksika Nation’s Deerfoot Sportsplex, which was devastated by flooding impacts from a water main break amidst an extreme cold weather event in mid-January 2024. Siksika Nation was under a state of local emergency at the time, with nearly 1,000 homes and facilities in the area without heat for the coldest days of the year thus far: -49 degrees Celsius with windchill. The Deerfoot Sportsplex is a heart and soul of the community: hosting daily programs and services for recreational, cultural, and community connection purposes, and home of Siksika’s local sports teams.
