In Indigenous culture, the dreamcatcher was created to help sleeping children sleep through the night without bad dreams. The whole in the middle allows the good dreams to filter through and the web catches the bad dreams until daylight. Each Thunderbird player created their own variation of the dreamcatcher that we are auctioning off. Proceeds will be going to the Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre.
