The Veterans Association Food Bank was formed September 2018, in Calgary AB. The three main programs offered by the Veterans Association Food Bank include: The Food Hamper Program, EVAC (Emergency Veterans Assistance Costs) and The Pet Promise Program. On top of the programs noted above we provide services such as assistance with filing applications for Veterans Affairs Canada, CPP, and seniors housing placements; help with estate documents such as wills, personal directives, and power of attorneys and many peer support programs. All our programs are targeted to prevent four key issues facing Veterans and their families: HUNGER, HOMELESSNESS, ISOLATION, and ultimately VETERAN SUICIDE.
