Society for Treatment of Autism
Society for Treatment of Autism (STA) is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has proudly served Calgary and area for over 40 years. Providing comprehensive supports and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, STA serves all ages, from early intervention programming for preschoolers to employment training programs for adults. All of STA” s services were strategically developed to meet community need and enhance lives across the Autism spectrum. This includes: A Residential Treatment Program, Community Education and Consultation, Adolescent and Adult Services and our specialized preschool and Early Intervention Program. Whatever your age or need, STA believes in helping each person with ASD achieve their maximum potential. All STA programs and services are highly individualized, evidence-based, and implemented and supported by an experienced team of clinicians, including Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists/Behavioral Consultants, Social Workers and Teachers

Brakemen Foundation Zero Hungry Kids 
On January 28, 2016 The Brakemen Foundation kicked off the Zero Hungry Kids campaign.  The focus of this new, 100% volunteer based, charity is to feed children in the Calgary region to ensure that no child between kindergarten and grade six, during the school day and the school year will go without food should they need it. That means breakfast, lunch and snacks with the confines of our school system and the sad reality is there are approximately 5000 children every day that have been identified and need nourishment. With our growing base of strong partnerships we will make Calgary the only city in North America that eliminates hunger in our schools. Zero Hungry Kids, that’s the goal and we won’t stop until we see it a reality.
