- The Rotary Stay in School Program

The Rotary Stay in School Program is designed to provide mentoring and financial support to students who are academically gifted, but due to social or financial matters may be unlikely or unable to achieve a post-secondary education.
Students are identified at the Grade six level, mentors work with them throughout their junior and senior high school years, ensuring their marks are to a standard that will ensure admittance to a post-secondary institution. At that time, funding is provided to assist in completing that education.
In 2011 the first student sponsored under the Stay in School Program graduated from university and more than two dozen others are now in the ‘educational stream’. More students are added each year.
The Supreme Windows $1,000,000 Amateur Golf Classic, organized by the Rotary Club of Calgary South, is a major fund-raiser for this charity.
