Who is “Guitars for Vets”

Guitars for Vets is a nationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to assisting military and RCMP, members and veterans, suffering from the after-effects of service-related challenges, including physical and mental health.

Over the past five years, Guitars for Vets has been hosting concerts and music clinics, for both vets and the general public, for the past four years with guest artists such as Sean Kelly, Lee Aaron, Sean McCann (Great Big Sea), Sass Jordan ,Ron Thal and Gilby Clarke (Guns and Roses). The guitar and song writing clinics are designed to engage with vets and encourage opportunities for them to develop their skills. Unfortunately, due to the border closure, this year’s clinic, featuring Billy Idol’s guitarist and song writer, Steve Stevens, has been postponed.

Guitars for Vets does not receive any government funding and relies strictly on the generosity of the public to assist us in raising funds. Over the years, celebrity artists have generously autographed guitars and art, and artist, Chris Tutty, has donated some original pieces for our auction. Due to COVID-19, the Guitars for Vets fundraiser has moved online, please explore the inaugural online auction of autographed guitars and original art pieces by Chris Tutty.
