Please tell us about a turning point or challenge that you feel shaped you as a leader or mentor.
"Prior to founding PARKER Public Relations I worked in NYC for the Institute for Children and Poverty and realized the immense impact public relations can make if done well and strategically. I then accepted a position in management at the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. I launched a program called Musical Camps for Kids - and again saw how media relations directly correlates with sponsorship that helps disadvantaged kids - in this instance. This inspired me to start my own firm."
What would you say is the most important trait or skill to develop for someone working in your field?
"Social skills - and adopting the Four Agreements. Be impeccable with your word. Always do your best. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t make assumptions."
Ellen's session will take place in-person.
