Rowan Fisher works with her team to provide immigration and refugee services, both inside Canada and around the world. She is also the Chair of the CBA Alberta South Immigration Executive, Director of Programming for the Calgary Justice Film Festival, and an Adjunct Professor at Queen's University. She works with resettlement agencies, civic entities, and various industry leaders across Alberta providing immigration information to their teams and clients. She loves what she does and is passionate about human rights and access to justice. Rowan believes there is no way to do immigration and refugee work without patience and compassion.
Please tell us about a turning point or challenge that you feel shaped you as a leader or mentor.
"My most recent challenge has been guiding my team through the process of joining another firm. Change can be hard and it really put my leadership skills to the test!"

"I am so proud of transforming from an energy lawyer to an immigration lawyer, building my business, and selling it!"

Each Mentor's session format can be found at the bottom of their auction profile page. The options are virtual (through Zoom, Skype, or other e-conference software), in-person, and flexible (based on the mentee's location and preference).
