Donna is the proud owner of 3 Anytime Fitness locations in Calgary and Okotoks. She opened her first location in the spring of 2017 and quickly became the #1 ranked club in Alberta. In 2018 she acquired a second location, and in 2021 opened a third location in Okotoks, seeing remarkable success in her career. She led Anytime Fitness through the crisis of the pandemic and is proud to have a business for her staff and members to come back to. In her personal life, she has been married for 30 years, with 4 beautiful children and 3 grandchildren.

Please tell us about a turning point or challenge that you feel shaped you as a leader or mentor. 

"In 1990 I took my infant daughter and left an abusive relationship. I fully understand the risk and challenges of leaving an abusive situation and starting over again."

What would you say is the most important trait or skill to develop for someone working in your field? 

"We hire both sales staff and personal trainers to work at the clubs. Having an outgoing personality and willingness to inspire others to achieve their best is one of the most important qualities we look for."
